EICR's

Electrical Installation condition reports (EICR) are provided as an official document given after an assessment by a qualified engineer or electrician. The assessment is based on the quality of your electrical installation, the electrics and cables will deteriorate over time. An electrical installation condition report should be carried out regularly and in accordance with BS7671. The average time given in BS7671 is 5 Years although this time is recommended and generally only given if the installation is in good condition and is rented accommodation. Here at JDP Electrical we carry out over 300 EICR’s per year for private landlord and estate agents so you can be assured we will carry out a thorough inspection of your property.

Consumer Unit Upgrades

In the UK many homes are still equipped with an old style fuse box. We strongly recommend that you upgrade your fuse box for a new style consumer unit. This will provide better electrical safety to your property but more importantly, your family or tenants. A consumer unit will also ensure your home is up to the current standards of the electrical regulations. We can advise you on current regulations and discuss the best options to meet your budget.

Full/Part Rewires

Electrical rewires can be a time consuming and expensive product. With JDP Electrical we try to not make this the case. All our engineers are qualified and NAPIT registered for your peace of mind.

What Is a Rewire?

A electrical rewire is where you replace some or all of the electrical wiring. This includes its accessories which can be lights; switches; sockets; and the Fuse board in a property.

New Build Installations

JDP Electrical carry out work on all types of new buildings from starter homes, small single new dwellings including barn conversions and large detached houses to new developments of several properties. New Build work can include design and consultation with builders and clients followed by all the installation work through to the testing and hand-over with all electrical certification.
